亲爱的朋友：

海外中国教育基金会 (Overseas China Education Foundation, OCEF) 是在美国注册的非
宗教性，非政治性慈善团体，OCEF的唯一宗旨是帮助中国国内贫困地区的孩子接受教育。仅
去年一年，OCEF就资助了5977名贫困中小学生，1089名贫困优秀高中生，196名贫困
教师，并资助兴建了4所学校校舍和26个农村学校图书室。$50美元就可以帮助一个农村孩子走进课
堂，我们希望能帮助更多的孩子。

OCEF参加了今年Facebook举办的America's Giving Challenge慈善募捐竞赛。此次活动鼓励
更多的人关注慈善团体，在一个月的竞赛中，捐款人次最多的慈善团体将赢得$50,000的大奖，每天
捐款人次前两位的组织还将赢得$1,000和$500的日奖。整个活动于10月7日开始，并将于11月6日
结束。

OCEF累计赢得了七天第一以及两天第二，并在总排行榜上位居第一。如果我们可以保持领先到11月6
日，我们就可以为孩子们赢得最终的5万美元大奖，这也意味着我们能多帮助一千名失学儿童重返校
园。但是，有些慈善团体在美国主流社会影响巨大，虽然参赛晚，但是上升势头强劲，OCEF现在
的优势并不能保证我们最后可以取得冠军，我们需要广大热心朋友的支持。

是，每人每天只能捐款一次，每次最低捐款10美元。在这里“天” 指的是美国东部时
间下午3点（美西时间中午12点）到第二日下午3点。此次活动是按最终捐款人次而非金
额来排定名次的，所以如果您想捐助20美元以上的话，我们希望您可以把捐款数目分成
$10一次，多捐几天，这样可以增加我们的捐款次数，更好地帮忙我们赢得大奖。本次

Dear Friends,

Overseas China Education Foundation (OCEF) is non-governmental, non-religious charity organization with a sole mission of supporting the basic education for economically disadvantaged children in rural China. Last year alone, the foundation has helped 5,977 children to attend primary and secondary schools and 1089 children to attend high schools. We have also supplemented the income of 196 teachers and built 4 schools, 26 libraries in poor rural areas.

OCEF is participating in the America's Giving Challenge to arise the awareness of rural education in China. It is a 30-day national campaign to encourage participation in charitable causes. The participant with the highest number of unique daily donations from 10/07 to 11/06 wins the grand prize of $50,000. There are also two daily awards: $1,000 to the cause with the most unique donations and $500 to the second place.

OCEF has won 9 daily prizes and are currently the leader of the overall challenge. The competition is becoming more intense with several causes surging in recent days, we need your help to maintain our lead and to win the grand prize. $50,000 can keep 1,000 children in poor rural areas in schools; we want it, they need it.

If you want to contribute more than the minimum $10, we ask that you maximize the impact of your donation by making a $10 donation on multiple days. Note that one day is defined as from 3pm to 3pm the next day Eastern Standard Time, 12pm Pacific time.
