Dear Friends,

On behalf of all of us at the City of Kitchener, best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.

Without a doubt 2025 has been a year for the history books, but in Kitchener we have worked tirelessly with all of you as we continued to build a city for everyone where, together, we take care of the world around us - and each other!

Whether you've recently celebrated Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or are spending the coming days celebrating Christmas, Kwanzaa, or simply some time to relax during the holiday season - may your days be filled with the joy and love of family and friends!

From our families to yours, best wishes also for a Happy New Year 2026! May the coming year be filled with health, happiness and prosperity for each of you. Join us at Kitchener City Hall for a family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration from 7pm - Midnight as we await the New Year with skating, live music and more! And then on January 4th, from 1:30 to 4pm, join City Council as we celebrate 2026 with our family-friendly New Year's Levee at City Hall with entertainment, refreshments, entertainment, kid's activities and more!

Special thanks to all of our first responders and other essential workers who will be working over the holidays, so we can enjoy this joyous time of year!
