3-day Job Search Workshop for Newcomers to Canada (水城百事)

Lutherwood is a non-profit agency in downtown Guelph. We offer free
employment help to individuals who live in Guelph and area. We also have locations in Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge.

In December, 2008, we began to offer 3-day job search workshops just
for people who have immigrated to Canada at our Guelph Location. This training is about finding work in Canada, and is designed for people who are learning English, but those who are fluent in English are also welcome.

During the workshop, people learn about the labour market and
preparing resumes, letters and job applications. People also practice
writing and speaking for business communication. We also help people
to prepare for job interviews and to lean what employers expect. After
people complete the workshop, they receive ongoing follow-up support
and one-on-one help with an Employment Advisor.

We deliver two sessions per month. The next session is August 18, 19 and 20.

We have had many people who have immigrated to Canada participate in
the program, and have received excellent positive feedback about our
services. Whether the individuals have been in the country for 7 days
or 7 years, they have said how helpful the workshop has been. If you
