我家已有两台台式机， 想买一台笔记本，今天去future shop 看了看，儿子相中了gateway, 而且在sales的极力推荐下还要买三年的warranty. 孩子想要用它来做作业，将来有可能编程，各位行家给个建议，现在哪里有好deal

主要看预算。如果是WINDOWS系统，个人认为联想的THINKPAD还是不错的。1000以下的，HP和GATEWAY都不错。如果是编程用，影响速度的除了CPU就是内存。以目前的配置看，最好4G以上内存。

just consider 3-5 years needs. no furthur. you need a new one for your son five years later.If video playing , or multimedias is one of the considerations. suggest video card dedicated memory 512M and more as well as HDMI output.
