Councillor says Waterloo Costco will cause intense traffic problems
Costco wants to put a major store development, strip mall and gas bar near the Region of Waterloo landfill on Erb Street. Waterloo City Council will vote Monday, but councillor Angela Vieth says she can\'t support the development.
\"Obviously we were hoping for a complete approval,\" said Ishida. \"The timeline was that we wanted to open by the end of this year.\"
Ishida says the store will bring 200 new jobs to the region, and that average Costco wages are around $20 an hour.
